Tryouts:

12s/13s: 12pm-2pm

14s/15s/16s: 2pm-4pm

Tryout Fee:

$50 non-refundable

Cash, check, or Zelle. Checks made payable to Block Party Volleyball. Payment is due at the time of tryouts if paying cash or check. Payment is due at time of registration if using Zelle.

Tryout Format:

Position-specific skill testing, overall skill testing, approach touch/block touch/shuttle time (15s & 16s only), and team competition evaluation.

What to Wear:

Players should wear athletic gear (t-shirt, spandex/shorts, tennis shoes or volleyball shoes, and knee pads). Players need to arrive 15-30 minutes early to register (if not completed online) and receive tryout number.

Tryout Results:

Players/parents will receive email notification of tryout results following the conclusion of tryouts. Players/families will have 72 hours, after receiving team invitation, to accept or decline the offer, sign the Player/Parent contract, pay the $750 non-refundable commitment deposit and set up a 6-month payment plan. The commitment deposit will cover the Mizuno uniform package and secure a roster spot on the team. The remaining balance will be paid in 6 equal payments beginning in November and ending in April.

If not selected for a team, players will have the option to be placed on a call back list if a team invitation is not accepted.

Block Party Volleyball Team 2024-2025 Season Information:

Teams will consist of 9-12 players and 1 coach

12s-14s: 8 tournaments with two 2-day tournaments and optional participation in AAU Nationals in Orlando, FL.
15s/16s: 10 tournaments, most tournaments will be 2-day tournaments with 2 out-of-state tournaments to include USAV Nationals or AAU Nationals in Orlando, FL.

Uniform Package:

2 practice shirts, 2 sublimated jerseys, 2 pairs of spandex, 2 pairs of socks, kneepads, cover shorts, long sleeve warm up shirt, 1 pair of shoes, and a backpack.

Practices:

Twice a week for 2.5 hours: speed, agility and quickness training (SAQ) incorporated into every practice.

Club Fees:

12s-14s: $4,500
15s: $5,800
16s: $7,000

Included in Club Fee:

Insurance costs, administrative costs, practice facility rental costs, tournament entry costs, Mizuno uniform package, coach’s pay, and recruiting resources.

14s-16s players will have access to recruiting resources.

Fundraising opportunities will be available monthly. Any money earned through fundraising will go directly to your athlete’s season fees.

Payment:

There is a 6-month payment plan available with the option to make payments every 2 or 4 weeks. Payment plans will need to be set up prior to the start of the season. Payments will be accepted by check only.

USAV/Lone Star membership fees and player/family travel-related expenses are not included in the club fee.
